CHARLOTTE BRODY AWARD

Charlotte Brody Award

The Charlotte Brody Award is presented jointly by the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments and Health Care Without Harm. The award’s namesake comes from the founder of Health Care Without Harm, a registered nurse and dedicated activist for environmental health. Awardees are recognized for their significant contributions to advancing environmental health. Specifically, applicants are evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:

  • Leadership in improving environmental health practices, policies, and education
  • Social, political, and/or professional activism on behalf of people, their health, and the environment
  • Efforts to increase the visibility of nurses and their important and effective role in addressing environmental health issues

The Charlotte Brody Award has been recognized since 2006. Below, see all Charlotte Brody Award Winners.
